Project Manager - Commercial Carpentry

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager for our Commercial Carpentry division. The ideal candidate will analyze initial project plans, complete comprehensive reviews, and manage all phases of the project to ensure alignment with budgets and timelines. You will identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering while overseeing the project's scope and identifying potential substitutions to enhance efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze original project plans and complete comprehensive reviews to identify discrepancies and explore cost-saving opportunities.
  • Establish project budget by assigning cost codes in Foundations Accounting Software and plan the budget accordingly.
  • Determine Scope of Work and identify substitutions for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Plan construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines are met.

Essential Skills

  • 10+ years' experience managing projects within the commercial carpentry field.
  • 5+ years' hands-on field commercial carpentry experience.
  • PMP or equivalent certification.
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks and On-Screen Takeoff.
  • Proficiency with project management software such as Procore.
  • Proficiency in construction accounting and budgeting software, preferably Foundations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project and Smartsheet.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Associate degree in engineering, Construction management, Architectural Disciplines, Building Science, or related concentration.

Work Environment

The work environment will consist of a combination of office settings and various construction sites. Conditions may vary from climate-controlled offices to outdoor environments with exposure to extreme temperatures, humidity, and noise. Potential hazards include proximity to moving mechanical parts, electrical currents, and slippery surfaces.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $50.00/hr.
