Job Title: Construction Project Manager
Job Description
The primary role of the Construction Project Manager is to ensure the overall success of construction projects, managing all aspects including financials, client satisfaction, and team development. The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing major portions of large projects or taking overall responsibility for smaller projects, mentoring Assistant Project Managers and Project Engineers, and fostering strong relationships with stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Ensure overall project success and manage project financials, including fee retention.
- Maintain client satisfaction and build strong relationships with owners, design partners, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Manage major portions of large projects or take overall responsibility for smaller projects.
- Mentor and coach Assistant Project Managers and Project Engineers.
- Develop skills necessary for successful project management.
- Understand scope changes and perform quantity take-offs, pricing, and track all project revisions.
Essential Skills
- Four-year degree in Construction Management or related field.
- 4+ years of experience in commercial construction, specifically within Technology/Life Science and Healthcare sectors.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience building partnerships and trust with external partners, including owners and design firms.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Thorough and detail-oriented approach.
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task within time constraints.
- Self-starter and motivated with minimal supervision.
- Strong computer skills, particularly in Excel.
- Estimating and field experience is a plus.
- Experience with self-performed scopes and scheduling.
Work Environment
The work environment includes both in-office and project site settings, with potential for remote work. The position offers a dynamic environment that blends office work with on-site project management.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $95000.00 - $140000.00/yr.
