Carpenter - Commercial Construction

Location: Beloit, WI

Job Type: Full-Time

The Staff Pad has partnered with a commercial contractor company in Beloit, WI, to find an experienced and safety-minded Carpenter to join their General Trades division. This hands-on role involves performing a variety of tasks related to residential and commercial construction, including demolition, framing, installing fixtures, doors, hardware, and cabinetry, and interpreting blueprints and layouts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret construction documents, blueprints, and plans

  • Install steel/wood framing, doors, windows, cabinetry, counters, and trim

  • Perform demolition, layout, and erection of building systems

  • Use and maintain hand/power tools and construction equipment safely

  • Conduct daily job site and equipment inspections

  • Follow OSHA safety standards and attend required trainings and toolbox talks

  • Maintain a clean and professional work site and vehicle

  • Travel between job sites as needed, including possible overnight stays

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required; apprenticeship preferred

  • Minimum 4 years of commercial construction experience

  • Valid driver's license and proof of insurance

  • OSHA 10, First Aid/CPR, Forklift & Aerial certifications (or ability to complete within first year)

  • Strong knowledge of tools, materials, and construction safety practices

  • Ability to lift, move, and work with materials and equipment in varied weather conditions

Preferred Skills:

  • Blueprint reading and layout planning

  • Effective communication and teamwork

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
