Dakota County Technical College seeks a temporary part-time/adjunct Electrician (Electrical Construction) Instructor to teach courses in our electrical construction program. Pay will be prorated, based upon credit load).Salary placement is determined on the basis of education and experience and in accordance with the 2024 - 2025 MSCF Contract, and conducted by the Minnesota State System Office.Minimum QualificationsEducation RequirementTwo-year diploma in an electrician program or completion of a registered electrician apprenticeship program.Occupational Experience RequirementFour full-time (or equivalent) years of verified related paid work experience as a licensed electrician in residential and commercial.Recency RequirementOne year of this work experience shall be within the five years immediately preceding the date of application for the credential field. The recency requirement shall be waived if the individual has two years of successful full-time (or equivalent) postsecondary teaching experience in the credential field within the last five years.Professional RequirementState of Minnesota Class A Journeyman Electrician LicensePreferred QualificationHigher education teaching experience with a diverse student populationExperience with learning communities or team teachingExperience in curriculum developmentExperience incorporating technology into curriculum delivery, including on-line instructionExperience developing and using student-centered, active and experiential learning strategiesExperience integrating cross-cultural and interdisciplinary perspectives in course instructionExperience assessing student academic achievement of campus-wide and classroom learning outcomesWork Shift (Hours / Days of work)Varies.
