Apprentice Carpenter

Perform apprentice-level work under supervision of senior employee. Responsible for assistance in building, installing, and repairing structures, fixtures, and other items using different types of materials. On the job training provided, with opportunity for advancement. Most jobs in Santa Cruz County, occasional work in Santa Clara County.

Job Duties
Perform heavy physical labor
Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Work with materials such as wood, plastic, fiberglass, tile, concrete or drywall
Perform basic carpentry, plumbing and electrical work
Work on top of scaffolding and ladders
Assist in installation of windows, doors, appliances, fixtures, cabinets and molding
Receive materials and off load in a safe and proficient fashion.
Prepare to perform job related assignments at designated start time.
Continually work to improve skills and complete tasks in an expedient manner for future advancement.
To perform daily tasks in a safe and hardworking manner in accordance with company policies

Job Requirements
Minimal construction experience necessary

Team player with a great attitude
Willingness to receive instruction/direction
High standard of integrity and professionalism
Strong mathematical aptitude and accuracy
Reliable transportation and own tools
Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
Must be comfortable working on scaffolding
Drug free at all times
No felony convictions (background check may be required)
Non-smoking at job sites/company vehicles
