Description
This is a contract (temporary) position with no specific end date. The contract term will be based on business need. There is potential for the role to transition into a permanent position based on performance and business needs; however, this is not guaranteed.
Position Summary
This position will support and collaborate extensively with Learning and & Development (L&D) to meet the goals of our HR strategic plan. This role will be an administrator to support our internal and external learning management systems as well as our internal talent development system. The position will be focused on the analytics and effectiveness of training in addition to coordinating logistics for the execution of training sessions and programs. This position must champion the culture as a critical liaison to the business.
Position Duties/Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Execute work as outlined in L&D standard operating procedures (SOP)
- Manage training requests, training survey information and strategic learning and development roll outs and create training schedules. This includes taking into consideration customer availability, classroom size, and the availability of trainers and student-to-instructor ratios. Make recommendations to L&D Director.
- Responsible for the ordering, creating or editing of training materials; administration and submission of training rosters; classroom setup with supplies readily available; coordination of meals and travel for consultant, trainers, facilitators and participants as needed.
- Coordinate New Hire Orientation including:
- Create name tents
- Order supplies
- Prepare gift bags
- Order and prepare snacks
- Coordinate lunch delivery
- Manage rosters and work with TA on attendance and other details.
- Schedule training rooms at HQ and other locations across Indiana and Michigan.
- Use L&D learning management system to track registrations, attendance, participant transcripts, required trainings and participant follow-up. Prior experience with LMS is preferred but not required.
- Proactively communicate with participants and managers verbally and in email.
- Manage physical and digital records including invoices, contracts, scopes of work, SOPs and training materials.
- Ownership of yearly training calendars for enterprise-wide training including communication and modification of such.
- Support other assigned miscellaneous duties required for the team to optimally serve the business.
- Work with branch and location level points of contact to ensure local trainings are executed as designed.

- No formal supervisor responsibilities
Position Requirements
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1 year or more of administrative, HR or L&D support role
Preferred:
- Associate or bachelor's degree in a business-related field (Business Administration, Project Management, etc.)
- 3 years or more of experience of administrative, HR or L&D support role

- High professional standards for customer service, quantity/quality of work and business results.
- Strong computer skills experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), and the ability to learn CAT/MacAllister/Michigan Cat systems
Other Requirements of Position
- Works under limited supervision. Independently determines the approach to take and the methods to use. Interprets policy in terms of objectives. Informs manager of unusual situations with far reaching implications.
