Job Description
Turner & Townsend is seeking a Construction Project Manager to support the full lifecycle of large-scale data center construction projects for a global technology client. This is a full-time onsite role, embedded within the client's Data Center Construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing projects from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead the full project lifecycle, including preconstruction, construction, and closeout phases.
- Oversee day-to-day project execution, ensuring alignment with client goals and program standards.
- Drive accountability across internal and external teams to meet service delivery expectations.
- Develop and manage detailed project schedules, budgets, and scopes of work.
- Track progress against milestones and proactively address deviations.
- Lead change management processes and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks throughout the lifecycle.
- Ensure all construction activities meet or exceed safety and quality standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to maintain compliance.
- Manage contractor and vendor performance, including contract compliance and deliverables.
- Review and process submittals, RFIs, change orders, and project documentation.
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with internal teams, external partners, and executive stakeholders.
- Prepare and present project updates, executive dashboards, and monthly reports.
- Facilitate meetings, track action items, and ensure timely resolution of issues.
- Support commissioning, punch list resolution, and transition to operations.
- Collaborate with procurement and finance teams to align resources and reporting.
- Identify opportunities to improve project delivery methods, tools, and quality practices.
- Contribute to the development of best practices and knowledge sharing across the program.
- SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- PMP certification strongly preferred.
- 5+ years of experience managing large-scale data center, mission critical high-tech or relatable construction projects.
- Field experience or field engineer experience is highly beneficial.
- Strong understanding of contract language, construction law, and vendor management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Procore, and other project management tools.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and diverse stakeholders.
- Willingness and ability to work onsite full-time.
