Mechanical Assembler Job Description Join our dynamic team as a Mechanical Assembler, where you'll contribute to the production of cutting-edge train connection systems at our main sales and operations facility in Charlotte, NC, US. Responsibilities Always work safely and report any health and safety risks at the workplace. Perform electro-mechanical assembly according to specified requirements. Conduct pre-delivery tests and document results post-approval. Document products in the ITC-list following the requirements. Report time accurately in the ERP system or similar platforms. Support colleagues and collaborate across functions as needed. Maintain a clean working area following 5S principles and perform essential equipment overhauls. Participate in improvement groups and initiate process enhancements. Clean, disassemble, repair, and overhaul TCS products according to customer orders. Document repair and overhaul procedures as implemented. Assist in receiving, shipping, inspection, and picking when required. Essential Skills Proficiency in using mechanical tools such as wrenches, impact guns, mics, and calipers. Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings and blueprints. 3+ years of experience in mechanical assembly or production preferred. Strong problem-solving skills and critical thinking abilities. Good organizational skills and attention to detail. Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively. Additional Skills & Qualifications Forklift experience preferred. Experience with hand tools like drills, table saws, and pneumatic nail guns. Overhead crane experience is a plus. Work Environment The role requires prolonged periods of standing and performing repetitive tasks. You must have the manual dexterity to assemble products or machines, excellent hand-eye coordination, and the ability to differentiate between colored wires and electronic components. Safety is a priority, requiring the use of gloves and ear protection. Work hours are typically from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM or 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with a 30-minute lunch break. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Charlotte, North Carolina. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
