About the role
As an Azure DevOps Infrastructure Engineer, you will make an impact by driving the modernization of cloud infrastructure that powers innovative healthcare solutions. Your work will directly support secure, scalable, and high-performing platforms that enable faster access to critical health data, improve system reliability, and streamline the delivery of patient-centric applications. By automating infrastructure, enhancing CI/CD pipelines, and collaborating across teams, you'll help healthcare organizations deliver more efficient, connected, and compliant care experiences. You will be a valued member of the Infrastructure team and work collaboratively with the Project Manager.
In this role, you will:
- Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure using Azure IaaS and PaaS services.
- Implement and manage Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Databricks, Azure Functions, and Azure Storage to support data-driven healthcare applications.
- Configure and manage Azure Key Vault, Azure IAM, and Azure Entra ID (App Registrations, Enterprise Applications) to maintain secure identity and access controls.
- Set up and maintain networking components including Firewalls, Load Balancers (Internal/External), and Azure Front Door to ensure secure, high-availability environments.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and YAML for repeatable and reliable infrastructure deployments.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using PowerShell and Azure CLI.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub Actions to support continuous delivery of healthcare solutions.
- Manage source control using GitHub and GitHub Enterprise Cloud (GHEC).
- Monitor and troubleshoot Kafka topics and related infrastructure to ensure real-time data processing.
- Ensure infrastructure security, compliance, and performance in alignment with healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA).
Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to drive DevOps best practices and improve delivery velocity

What you need to have to be considered
- Proven track record of 5 or more years in a DevOps or Infrastructure Engineering role with a strong understanding of cloud-native environments.
- Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure services and cloud architecture.
- Solid grasp of networking concepts and cloud security principles.
- Proficiency with Terraform, YAML, PowerShell, and Azure CLI.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
- Familiarity with Kafka and event-driven architecture.
- Working knowledge of Azure Entra ID, Key Vault, and IAM frameworks.
- Experience with Azure-native services including AKS, Databricks, Functions, and Storage.
- Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment.
These will help you stand out
- Azure certifications such as AZ-104, AZ-400, or AZ-305.
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools like Azure Monitor and Log Analytics.
- Exposure to DevSecOps practices and tools.
- Previous experience in healthcare or regulated industries is a plus.

Salary and Other Compensation:
Applications will be accepted until July 25, 2025.
The annual salary for this position is between $91,000 - $107,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
