In this highly visible role, you'll be a key player on our Pricing & Legal Project Management Team, partnering with attorneys, clients, and stakeholders to ensure complex legal matters run smoothly from start to finish. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Project Management Collaborate with attorneys to plan and manage client engagements, including defining goals, building timelines and budgets, and maintaining financial predictability through proactive management. Contribute to developing creative pricing models, including alternative fee arrangements, that align client objectives with the firm's strategic goals. Track the progress of ongoing legal work, identify potential roadblocks early, and take proactive steps to resolve issues. Manage key client matters and initiatives, ensuring each project aligns with client goals, timelines, and business objectives. Stakeholder Coordination Facilitate meetings, prepare project documentation, and ensure follow-up on action items. Provide stakeholders and clients clear, data-driven updates on project status, key milestones, and financial results, escalating as necessary. Serve as a liaison between attorneys, legal assistants, finance, business development, and other departments to ensure alignment, transparency, and knowledge sharing across the firm. Process Improvement & Analytics Analyze matter performance to uncover inefficiencies and drive continuous improvement. Leverage historical data to forecast legal budgets, spot trends, and build a foundation for informed decision-making. Lead initiatives to improve and standardize how the firm manages legal work, promoting best practices across teams. Technology & Tools Maintain and support pricing and project management software used by the firm, including updates and improvements. Help teams leverage technology tools to deliver legal projects more effectively and seamlessly. Coach and mentor attorneys on effective use of LPM tools to support a culture of collaboration, accountability, and data-informed decision-making. Proactive, solutions-focused mindset - you see around corners and anticipate needs before they arise. Experience supporting project scoping, documenting plans, and managing changes in scope by collaborating effectively with key stakeholders. Thrive in an agile environment that adapts quickly to client needs. Strong communicator, able to clearly and confidently convey information both verbally and in writing to stakeholders and leadership teams. Comfortable presenting to and engaging with clients, attorneys, and senior leaders across an organization. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel including pivot tables, charts, and data visualization. Familiarity with legal or financial systems is a plus. EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Finance, Business or Accounting. Two to four years' experience required in project management and/or budget development in professional services with demonstrated success. Law firm experience and/or project management experience in the legal industry is desired, and business understanding of litigation is a plus. PHYSICAL DEMANDS OF POSITION Work is performed in a professional office environment and requires the following during the work day: Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time (working at a computer) Ability to move/traverse about inside the office intermittently throughout the day (attend meetings, access file cabinets, obtain supplies from supply room, etc.) Operate computer and other office equipment such as a copy machine, printer, telephone, etc. Repetitive movement (i.e., heavy computer/keyboard use). Individual will interact regularly with others verbally, in-person, and via written communication. IN ADDITION TO THE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OUTLINED ABOVE Individual in this position will provide additional assistance and support as directed by their supervisor. This job description is subject to change at any time. The pay range for this position in Boston, Los Angeles, Minneapolis and New York is $89,200 - $134,200 per year. This is an exempt position not eligible for overtime. Actual pay will be dependent upon a number of factors including the candidate's experience, qualifications, skills, location, and other job related factors permitted by law.
