Structural Design Engineer
Job Description

We are seeking a talented Structural Design Engineer to join our team in Nashville, TN. In this on-site role, you will play a key part in designing and analyzing structural systems for a variety of civil engineering projects. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure designs meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

  • Perform structural analysis and develop engineering designs for civil infrastructure projects.
  • Utilize CAD and BIM tools to create detailed models and drawings.
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project stakeholders to deliver effective solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements.
  • Contribute to project planning, documentation, and technical reporting.
Essential Skills
  • Experience in Structural Analysis and Structural Engineering.
  • Knowledge and experience in Civil Engineering.
  • Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design and BIM Modeling Software.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate with peers and clients.
  • Must have passed the FE exam and be looking to take the PE within a year or two.
  • 4+ years of experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Proficient in Revit for structural design.
  • Experience in projects related to wastewater, industrial, commercial, or multi-family settings.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.
  • Knowledge of drafting and structural steel design.
Work Environment

This is an on-site position located in the south of Nashville off of Harding. The role offers a collaborative work environment in a small business setting, allowing for numerous opportunities to take on significant projects, including a newly won $2 billion dollar wastewater project that spans 15 years. The company values work-life balance by offering PTO and holidays.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.87 - $50.48/hr.
