Job description
Our client, a manufacturing company in Baltimore, Maryland, is looking for manufacturing/production mechanics that would be directly responsible for maintaining and repairing machinery, equipment, and systems in a food processing environment. In this role you will use your technical knowledge and problem-solving skills to identify and fix issues, ensuring the optimal performance of machines and minimizing downtime.

$30-40/hour, commensurate with experience
Two shifts available: 1st shift, 6a-2:30p 3rd shift, 12a-8:30a
Job Responsibilities:
Troubleshoots and analyzes complex problems and implements proper remedies while ensuring that all safety guidelines and regulations are adhered to when repairing or maintaining equipment.
Collaborate with other maintenance technicians and engineering staff to troubleshoot and resolve issues, including: electronic and automation equipment, sensors, cylinders, motors, conveyer belts, HVAC, plumbing, in a production environment that includes a cold/refrigerated area.
Maintain operations of systems such as pneumatic, hydraulic, ammonia.
Install and repair electrical apparatus, such as transformers, breakers, switches, receptacles, wiring, and electronic components of machinery and equipment.
Operate cutting torches or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts
Able to read and follow blueprints and schematics..
Follows safety regulations. Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
Maintains time and production records
Qualifications:
At least 3 years experience as a maintenance mechanic in the manufacturing/production industry
Understanding of GMP's, Lock Out Tag Out, OSHA regulations
Experience with electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic repair and preventative maintenance experience crucial
Experience with PLC systems, robotics, welding, pneumatics, sensors and cylinders highly desired
Previous experience with food manufacturing/processing equipment highly desired
Ability to work in a refrigerated environment
