Job Overview**

APTIM is currently seeking a mid-level Engineer to support remedial investigations, remedial design and remedial action at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Formerly Utilized Sites Remedial Action Program (FUSRAP) project in St. Louis , MO. The role will include but not limited to implementation and oversight of characterization and remediation activities associated with the removal of radiological constituents from impacted properties, property restoration, and facility maintenance. Strong interpersonal skills are required, including the ability to communicate clearly and confidently, both written and verbally, to all project team members including client representatives, and APTIM colleagues alike.

**Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:**

+ Provides technical support and oversight for design input for excavation, shoring, backfill, asphalt and concrete installation, and utility removal and installation.

+ Development of Statements of Works for subcontracted tasks.

+ Possesses the engineering experience and knowledge to establish scope, schedules, and cost controls consistent with project objectives.

+ Subcontract proposal review.

+ Maintain APTIM project schedule

+ Project metric tracking.

+ Input and review of project specific work plans.

+ Collaborates with Sr. Project Team Members in presentation and communication of project updates to Client Representatives.

+ Provides input for conformance with applicable engineering codes and standards as well as company policy and procedures.

**Basic Qualifications:**

+ BS Degree in Civil Engineering.

+ Have 5+ years of directly relevant experience.

+ Engineer in Training (EIT) designation from the NCEES, a plus, with ability to readily attain PE Certification.

+ Knowledge of AutoCAD, Autodesk Civil 3D, and ArcGIS software, a plus.

+ General knowledge of construction surveying and GPS surveying equipment.

+ Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.

+ Experience with excavation design and shoring.

+ Experience with statement of work and work plan development.

+ General knowledge of construction surveying and GPS surveying equipment.

+ Valid Driver's License with Clean Driving Record required.

+ Possess or have ability to readily obtain OSHA HAZWOPER certification.

+ Ability to wear proper PPE for work on hazardous waste sites; lifting and physical work will be required.

+ Must be able to work in the field in all types of field conditions/weather.

+ Ability to pass company Pre-employment Physical and Drug Screen.

As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay range for this position is $80,000 - $120,000. Compensation depends on several factors including: experience, education, key skills, geographic location of the position, client requirements, external market competitiveness, and internal equity among other employees within APTIM.
