Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced OpenShift Architect (SME) to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise-grade OpenShift platforms. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on technical leader with deep expertise in containerization, Kubernetes, and hybrid cloud infrastructure. You will play a critical role in defining best practices, setting architectural standards, and driving modernization initiatives across business-critical applications.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the technical authority and SME for Red Hat OpenShift architecture and deployment across multi-cloud and hybrid environments.
Lead the design and implementation of high-availability, scalable, and secure OpenShift clusters .
Evaluate existing architecture and recommend improvements to align with cloud-native and DevSecOps principles.Collaborate with DevOps, security, infrastructure, and application teams to create a unified container strategy.
Define and implement CI/CD pipelines , GitOps strategies, and DevSecOps tooling on OpenShift.
Set governance standards for container lifecycle management, image security, policy enforcement, and resource usage.Assist in migration of legacy applications to the OpenShift platform.
Provide guidance on performance tuning, monitoring, and alerting within OpenShift and integrated services.
Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis of platform issues.
Required Qualifications:
10+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, cloud, or DevOps engineering.
5+ years of Kubernetes and containerization experience.
3 5+ years of deep, hands-on expertise with Red Hat OpenShift (v4.x preferred) .
Proven experience designing and deploying OpenShift clusters (on-prem, public cloud, or hybrid).
Experience with Helm , Operators , and OpenShift GitOps / ArgoCD .Expertise in container security, RBAC, network policies, and compliance controls.
Experience integrating OpenShift with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Tekton).Familiarity with service mesh (e.g., Istio), monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana), and logging (ELK, Fluentd).
Solid scripting and automation experience (Bash, Python, Ansible, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications:
Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration or Architect-level certifications (RHCA).
Experience with multi-tenant OpenShift platforms in large enterprise environments.
Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Ansible).
Exposure to public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) with OpenShift integrations.
Strong understanding of security and governance in regulated industries.

Ability to lead technical workshops and mentor junior team members.
Strategic thinking with an eye for continuous improvement.
Strong collaboration and cross-functional leadership skills.
