Equipment Mechanic Job Description We are seeking a traveling equipment maintenance mechanic to maintain and repair a variety of equipment used in the concrete industry. This role involves maintaining trailers and trucks, with a preference for DOT certification, although it is not mandatory. Your work will include tasks such as trailer lights and wiring, welding, oil changes, tire repair, and equipment repair on mini excavators, skid loaders, power trowels, and dump trucks. Most projects pertain to Highway Heavy concrete work, including small minor concrete paving projects, curb and gutter improvements, and ADA improvements. Responsibilities Coordinate with Project Managers, Estimators, and Operations teams. Plan and manage daily labor, materials, and equipment needs. Perform maintenance and repairs on trailers, trucks, and various concrete industry equipment. Conduct preventive maintenance and repairs including electrical wiring and lighting, welding, oil changes, and tire repairs. Essential Skills Experience in construction and repair. Proficiency as an equipment mechanic. Knowledge of trailer mechanics and DOT standards. Skills in electrical maintenance and preventive maintenance. Experience with heavy equipment and equipment maintenance. Additional Skills & Qualifications Ability to create and follow a preventative maintenance schedule. Experience in trailer repair and electrical wiring. Proficiency in welding and field maintenance. Ability to travel and a clean driving record. Why Work Here?
