The minimum and maximum salaries for this job role are below:

Minimum Salary - 141,600.00

Maximum Salary - 177,000.00

The Role:

Have the opportunity to evaluate and process in an accurate and timely manner, claims estimates and paid claims values in accordance with policy terms and conditions to provide the level of service and meet obligations contracted to by the company at all times. Through the use of analytics and insights continually drive continuous improvement in the use of TPA's and third-party experts. Build effective tools, processes and governance to minimize regulatory, legal and operational risk and ensure operational reporting is accurate and delivered within required timelines.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Plan Development and Compliance: Contributes to, monitors, and advises on plan developments and changes to ensure relevancy, compliance, and optimal delivery.
  • Claims Management: Manages complex claims in collaboration with peers and colleagues, providing expert technical support.
  • Reporting and Data Analysis: Delivers accurate and timely reporting to claims management and leadership, and leads data analysis to provide valuable insights.
  • Stakeholder Liaison: Acts as the key liaison for designated claims portfolios with various departments such as Underwriters, Risk, Compliance, Finance, and Actuarial.
  • Work Prioritization: Determines own work priorities and activities in line with agreed plans to achieve team and global claims function objectives.
  • Regulatory and Legislative Support: Supports regulatory and legislative responses, ensuring adherence to standards and embedding required changes within the claims portfolio.
  • Strategy Implementation: Supports the implementation of the group claims strategy to achieve business targets and performance against KPIs.
  • Issue Resolution: Investigates and resolves technical and operational issues within the claims portfolio, escalating as appropriate.
  • Recommendations and Improvements: Develops and presents recommendations to claims systems and processes to achieve first-class service and experience for clients.
  • Relationship Building: Fosters strong relationships with brokers, third parties, and customers through multi-channel engagement and focused forums.
  • Internal Collaboration: Champions collaboration and engagement with internal stakeholders to resolve issues and implement initiatives.
  • Market Engagement: Promotes the Aspen brand and claims reputation through wider market engagement and committee membership.
  • Service Standards and Customer Insights: Supports the design and delivery of service standards, customer insights, and outcomes for the claims portfolio.
  • Stakeholder Relationships: Develops and maintains stakeholder relationships across claims and other functions within Aspen.
  • Statistical and Analytical Information: Produces regular statistical and analytical claims information for Underwriters, Claims Portfolio Head, and senior leadership.
  • Knowledge Maintenance: Develops and maintains sufficient knowledge of the claims portfolio to provide excellent claims handling service and recommend improvements.
  • System Updates and KPI Production: Ensures accurate and timely updates of company systems and supports the production of KPIs and management information reports.
  • Referral Point: Acts as a referral point for other members of the global claims team on specific tasks or in the absence of the appropriate Portfolio Head.

Skills & Experience:

  • 5 - 10+ years of professional lines claims experience in A&E (Architects and Engineers), with a JD Degree and admission to practice law.
  • 5+ years of technical claims handling in a group claims function, operating in a highly regulated environment.
  • 5+ years' experience in technical claims management supporting multiple lines of business across geographies and industries with differing regulatory and legislative standards.
  • Strong understanding of delegated and third-party claims management from a technical, commercial, and operational perspective.
  • Proficient in navigating and assimilating complex technical data applications and sources, with strong investigative, negotiation, influencing, and collaboration skills.
  • Attention to detail with a track record of delivering service excellence via detailed and technical processes.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, along with good organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and able to manage conflicting priorities to achieve deadlines.
  • Ability to plan effectively and efficiently, and collaborate within a team environment.
  • Deep experience and a proven track record of working in a Claims environment within a specialized/complex Claims area, with recognized qualifications and/or good practical knowledge of the insurance regulatory framework.
