Key Responsibilities
Lead product lifecycle activities: concept, design, prototyping, testing, and implementation
Create and interpret technical drawings, CAD models, and engineering specifications using tools like SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo, or similar
Perform engineering calculations and simulations (FEA, CFD, thermal, stress analysis) to validate and optimize designs
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, manufacturing, QA, vendors, project managers, to ensure manufacturability and compliance with standards
Troubleshoot mechanical issues and produce cost-effective, manufacturable solutions
Prepare technical documentation, reports, test results, specifications, bill of materials, or internal and external stakeholders
Qualifications & Skills
Required:
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field
Typically 25+ years of mechanical engineering or design experience (adjust based on level)
Proficiency in CAD/CAE tools (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo)
Analytical mindset with strong mechanical, materials, thermodynamics knowledge, and problem-solving skills
Excellent verbal and written communication paired with ability to collaborate effectively
Preferred:
Experience with FEA, CFD, or PLM tools
Masters degree, PE license, or certifications (e.g., Six Sigma, ASME, ISO)
Domain-specific experience HVAC, automotive, robotics, or embedded systems
