Welder**
**Job Description**
Join our pipe fabrication team as a laser welder, where you will grind, cut, and fit threaded end caps onto pipes. You will position the pipe into a chuck and utilize a laser welding machine to achieve seamless welds. This role involves using a laser weld machine similar to a MIG gun, equipped with a red dot sighter for precision. You will also clean, grind, and polish the welds as necessary. As part of our team, you may be asked to support fabrication, saw, assembly, and other areas as needed.
**Shift and Pay**
Pay: $22/hr
Monday to Friday, 7am to 3:30pm, with typically available overtime.
**Responsibilities**
+ Grind and cut the end of a 10' long, 2" pipe and fit on threaded end caps.
+ Position the pipe into a chuck and utilize a laser welding machine to weld the pipe.
+ Press a foot pedal to spin the tube for a seamless weld.
+ Clean, grind, and polish the weld as needed.
+ Support fabrication, saw, assembly, and other areas as needed.
**Essential Skills**
+ Proficiency in welding, including mig and laser welding.
+ Ability to measure accurately.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
