Job Description Join our team as a Manufacturing Operator I, where you will play a crucial role in the production process of agars. You will be responsible for ensuring quality and efficiency in loading products, checking volumes, and maintaining high standards throughout the manufacturing process. Responsibilities
- Efficiently and safely operate assigned machinery, performing simple maintenance and reporting malfunctioning equipment immediately.
- Set up and adjust machinery to accommodate different product sizes.
- Obtain correct materials for operations from the warehouse or staging area.
- Organize production flow, ensuring materials are available and estimating the progress of the line.
- Schedule breaks in accordance with production time schedules in a safe manner.
- Document and check personal work for quality and compliance, monitor products for defects, and assist with inventory processes.
- Accurately dispense required additives to media and achieve proper pH balance as needed.
- Investigate and remedy potential production failures.
- Follow all written procedures and report discrepancies to the Area Supervisor.
- Perform all work activities safely, wearing personal protective equipment as required.
- Report property damage and safety hazards immediately.
- Complete production assignments in a timely manner according to departmental schedules.
- Sign off on DHRs and fill in pertinent information in accordance with SOPs.
- Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution.
- Ability to comprehend and communicate both written and verbally using the English language.
- Proficiency in basic math.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and push/pull wheeled kettles up to 600 lbs.
- Capability to stand for sustained periods, approximately 10 hours a day.
- Experience in pick pack, manufacturing line, fill line, capping bottles, and visual inspection.
