We are looking for highly skilled Electricians to join our Charlotte team!!

Job Summary:

The Industrial Journeyman Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment in an industrial environment. This role involves working with high-voltage systems, motor controls, power distribution, and industrial automation, while ensuring all work is performed in compliance with national and local electrical codes and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, fixtures, and industrial equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues in motors, control panels, PLCs, and variable frequency drives (VFDs).
  • Interpret and work from electrical schematics, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer manuals.
  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on electrical systems and components.
  • Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, or the need for adjustment or repair.
  • Install conduit, cable trays, and raceways in accordance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards.
  • Collaborate with engineers, maintenance staff, and other trades to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work performed.
  • Comply with all OSHA and site-specific safety requirements, including Lockout/Tagout procedures.
  • Listen, follow directions, and complete assigned work
Qualifications
  • Valid Journeyman Electrician License (State-issued).
  • High school diploma or GED; technical training in electrical systems preferred.
  • Minimum 4 years of industrial electrical experience.
  • Strong understanding of 3-phase systems, transformers, switchgear, and industrial control systems.
  • Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment (e.g., multimeters, megohmmeters).
  • Ability to read and interpret complex electrical blueprints and technical documents.
  • Experience with PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) and industrial automation systems.
  • Familiarity with NFPA 70E standards and arc flash safety.
  • Knowledge of motor controls, VFDs, and relay logic.
  • Welding or fabrication skills are a plus but not required.
  • Previous work in a manufacturing, refinery, or heavy industrial environment.
