Job Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented Field Engineer to ensure the accuracy, reliability, and performance of advanced security solutions, including video management, access control, and situational awareness systems. The Field Engineer will be responsible for inspecting components, systems, and installations to verify compliance with quality standards and customer specifications. This role involves collaborating with engineers and field technicians to maintain high-quality delivery in aviation and transportation projects. Key Responsibilities: Oversee subcontractor replacement of legacy access control system with Software House prefabricated Intelligent Door Controller (IDC). Perform pre-installation and post-installation quality checks for access control, video management, and situational awareness systems. Review and audit system configurations, cabling, and hardware installation to ensure compliance with drawing specifications, company, and industry standards. Collaborate with engineers and field technicians to resolve quality issues identified during inspections. Maintain detailed documentation of inspection results, non-conformance reports, and corrective actions. Conduct routine audits of tools, materials, and processes to ensure consistent adherence to quality standards. Final commissioning of field devices with subcontractor and software engineers. Assist in training field technicians on quality assurance practices and techniques. Stay updated on industry standards and emerging best practices for quality assurance in physical security systems. Requirements: 5+ years experiences in access control, CCTV, and intrusion system installations. 5+ years as a foreman in the security industry. 2+ years in a quality assurance, inspection, or related technical role, preferably in physical security systems or a similar industry. Current Software House CCURE Certification preferred. Understanding of Division 28 & 08 preferred. Possesses high level of technical knowledge of software, electrical & mechanical disciplines. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong customer service orientation, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Hands-on experience with physical security systems installations and maintenance preferred. Technical Skills: Familiarity with access control, video management, and situational awareness systems (e.g., Software house CCURE, Lenel Onguard, Milestone, Genetec). Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals. Proficiency with tools and equipment for inspections, including multimeters and cable testers. Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills. Additional Requirements: Requires travel to job sites for inspections and audits. Ability to work independently and manage technical projects with minimal supervision. Ability to meet governmental badging requirements. Valid driver's license.
