We are looking for a new Welder that can weld on a wide variety of metals and alloys, navigate blueprints and directions successfully, and who is ready to take their welding skills to the next level. - Successfully reading and understanding American and European blueprints, geometrical call outs, and weld symbols to meet or exceed client expectations.
- Using GMAW-P, GMAW-S, and GTAW to effectively weld weldments, tanks, and metal parts together per the weld process specification sheet.
- Performing welding on a wide variety of metals and alloys, including carbon steel, galvanized steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
- Independently use hand layouts for weldments based on blueprints or specifications, with little to no supervision required.
- Using fixtures, gauges, and jigs to manufacture welded parts to customer specifications.
- Assist with creating work instructions.
- Completing the first piece, in process, and final inspections using calipers, height gauges, protractors, and tape measures.
- Pressure testing fuel tanks and hydro testing glycol tanks.
- Minimal traveling between plants and adapting to the product mix requirements at each facility.
- Analyzing weld processes and recommending process improvements.
- Must be comfortable welding aluminum
- Proficient in TIG and MIG welding practices
- Demonstrates ability to weld in multiple positions (flat, horizontal, vertical).
- Understands and adjusts weld machine settings for material type/thickness.
- Can fabricate parts independently using jigs, gauges, and fixtures.
- Inspects welds visually and understands basic quality standards (e.g., porosity, undercut).
- Required certification or ability to pass weld qualification tests.
