Cost and Pricing Analyst

Responsible for the calculation and analysis of budget and cost proposals which will be submitted to a variety of clients in the pharmaceutical or medical device industry. Provide regular analysis of cost and budget assumptions against actual spend. Consolidate specifications from proposal team in order to accurately capture all cost requirements.

What will you be doing?

• Lead proposal budget process leveraging approved cost model for bid solicitation responses. Provide input as to the formulation of cost model assumptions, using analysis past actual data (in partnership with project accounting teams) as driver for these assumptions.
• With support of VP of Finance, provide guidance and feedback to bid teams in course of assembling proposal budgets. Complete templates as requested by prospects which may accompany the formal RFP.
• Work on both new and existing clients bids and renewals. Develop budget for change orders or other incremental out of scope work as requested by client and or business development team.
• Demonstrate understanding of proposal cost elements (wages, benefits, tax rates, indirect costs), concepts, and principles, and application of these concepts
• Develop pro-forma P&L based on the elements contained in the proposal.

What do you need for this position?

• Bachelors degree with concentration in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration preferred
• Must possess advance MS Excel skills to include PivotTables, VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, and Data Tables. Advanced skills in MS Word are a plus.
• Prior experience in developing proposal response budgets, collaborating with proposal teams in a service business or industry preferred.
• Must be proficient in multi-tasking.
• Experience in Cost Estimating, Cost Analysis, and/or Proposal Pricing required
• Managed services pricing experience preferred
• Pharmaceutical industry experience preferred
• Certified Pricing Professional (CPP) would be a plus
• Experience creating and maintaining a controlled documentation system, record retention, and information services functions including electronic records retention processes.
