Your impact

The Construction Manager (CM) is responsible for the client field activities including overseeing contractors and inspectors. The CM is one of the company's prime contacts and as such is responsible for promoting continuing client relations. They are also responsible for field construction efforts, design phase services and all subcontracting as well as participating in all major technical, cost, scheduling and performance decisions.

Job Responsibilities

  • Establish Organizational Alignment and Integration
  • Establish Project Construction Operations
  • Oversee implementation of system wide safety program that utilizes safety professionals and focuses on health and safety of the Jacobs and Client employees through ongoing education and training.
  • Require proper site preparation, including traffic control devices if needed.
  • Plan, organize, and staff key field positions.
  • Verify and document that permits are being handled correctly and recommend correction to procedures if problems are occurring.
  • Document One Call and line locates have been initiated timely to the construction schedule.
  • Document that inspections are being properly documented and reported in the field and identify any non-compliance issues for corrective actions.
  • Document that scope of work changes or "extras" are properly managed (i.e., no extras without previous written approval), and documented, and that costs are controlled.
  • Check that Jacobs and client sign offs for systems turnover from contractors and to client are achieved and documented.
  • Ensure proper documentation of all construction activities that is traceable, verifiable, complete and accurate

  • Bachelor of Engineering or Construction Management, or equivalent years in industry experience
  • 10+ years of experience managing projects
  • Strong working knowledge of gas piping systems, P&IDs, PFDs, site layout and material take?offs
  • Background in natural gas distribution and transmission work preferred

117,300.00

Posted Salary Range: Upper

153,900.00

The base salary range for this position is $117,300.00 to $153,900.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
