Carpenter**

**Job Description**

This role involves performing a variety of carpentry and general building construction tasks at various residential, commercial, and industrial job sites. The carpenter works under direct supervision, executing basic layout work for new construction sites and remodels.

**Responsibilities**

+ Construct and position concrete forms for footings and foundations using power and hand tools.

+ Assist with pouring concrete and disassemble forms once concrete is set.

+ Install and set floor joists, frame floors, and lay sheets of plywood to build the sub-floor.

+ Build exterior and interior walls, stand them up, and brace or secure them into place.

+ Install protective sheeting around exterior walls to seal out weather.

+ Frame openings for windows and doors, and hang both exterior and interior doors and windows.

+ Install roof trusses, sheets of plywood, and lay roof sheeting.

+ Perform finishing work, including installing inside trim pieces, sanding, staining, and painting.

**Additional Skills & Qualifications**

+ 2+ years of previous construction experience with a basic understanding of stud layout, rough framing, and the ability to read and understand blueprints.

+ Valid driver's license and/or reliable transportation to job sites.

+ Provision of own basic hand tools; specialty tools and equipment provided by the employer.

**Work Environment**

This job is 100% outdoors. Candidates must wear long pants, steel-toe boots, and construction-approved jackets. Basic tools and tool belts can be brought by the candidate. The company provides hard hats, high-visibility vests, safety glasses, and gloves.

**Pay and Benefits**

The pay range for this position is $27.55 - $34.00/hr.
