Production Operator: 16-24

We manufacture plastic containers for mostly the automotive industry. This position will be cleaning and assembling the containers once it comes off of the line. They will be asked to remove the flash from the parts, then insert rods in for the "hinges". They will then check the doors and hinges to make sure everything works properly, and stack the containers on a pallet for the material handlers to move in to their warehouse. This position is responsible for removing product from machine, inspecting said product, and preparing it for assembly or shipment. Record scrap and placing it in identified location Clean and trimming components using repetitive motion with tools such as scraper, chisel and bottle opener Assemble components into finished parts with repetitive use of a hammer Perform any required customer added process Stack parts according to product guidelines and quality standards Check the product guidelines, options sheet and any special work instructions for the correct way to assemble, clean and package components Check quality of finished components and parts Train new employees as needed Refer to the 1st piece sample part for a visual representation of the correct finished product for the order Maintain general housekeeping Steel Toes not required Additional Skills & Qualifications While they would consider anyone, manufacturing experience is strongly preferred. This is because of their 12 hour shift. repetitive tasks and the floor can get hot. This position is very physically demanding. While there is no lifting, there is a lot of hammering with a plastic mallet and hand assembly that can cause hands and forearms to get sore. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $17.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
