Our client, an international engineering firm based in NYC, is looking for a Bridge Inspector to work with various state clients in the NJ area. You'll play a crucial role in conducting inspections, ensuring bridges meet industry standards, and driving projects forward with precision.
Full Time Position - you will be a W2 employee of the engineering firm!
Salary Range: 115 - 125k (Depends on level of experience)
NOTE: This role will be on-site in the NJ area, typically at 1 work site per project.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspection Execution - Plan, schedule, and conduct detailed inspections of bridges and related structures, adhering to national and local guidelines (e.g., FHWA, AASHTO) while ensuring safety and efficiency on every project.
Reporting - Prepare comprehensive inspection reports, document deficiencies, and recommend repairs
Collaboration - Work closely with clients, contractors, and government agencies to ensure smooth project execution
Innovation - Stay ahead of industry technologies, regulations, and methodologies
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's preferred)
P.E Licence - Required (NJ State)
NICET Level II in Highway Construction OR 4 Years of Road / Bridge Inspection experience with 2 Year of Bridge Construction Inspection Experience (Required)
3 Years' of Road/Bridge Construction Inspection Experience
Must be ACI, SAT & TCP Certified
NBIS Certification (Strongly preferred)
NHI Bridge Inspection Training Certificate(s) (Required)
- Strong proficiency in inspection software/tools
- Excellent communication, and organizational skills
- Knowledge or experience working with state and local agencies is a plus but not required.
- Ability to work in various field conditions, including heights, confined spaces, and diverse weather
