Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Low Voltage Estimator to join our team. You will be responsible for analyzing project plans and specifications, preparing accurate cost estimates, and collaborating with design and field teams to ensure project success. This role requires expertise in low voltage systems and a commitment to achieving code compliance and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze project plans, specifications, instructions to bidders, general conditions, addenda, and referenced documents for low voltage systems projects.
  • Prepare accurate cost estimates for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor services, including quantity take-offs and assembly pricing.
  • Collaborate with design teams to establish specifications and designs that meet code compliance and customer expectations.
  • Work with project managers, engineers, and field teams to ensure competitive yet profitable bids.
  • Coordinate and disclose project-specific details to field teams during project hand-off meetings.
  • Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients.
  • Prepare, review, and analyze contracts and change orders for accuracy and adherence to project estimates.
  • Stay up-to-date on evolving technologies related to low voltage systems, including fire alarms, emergency communications, antenna systems, security systems, and more.

Essential Skills

  • 3+ years experience in low voltage systems estimating or project management.
  • Proficiency in reading and analyzing project plans, specifications, and design narratives.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts.
  • Proficient knowledge in low voltage systems, including fire alarms, security systems, and communication systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • NICET II certification for fire alarm systems or willingness to obtain.
  • BICSI - RCDD certification or willingness to obtain.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Bluebeam Revu, and Accubid estimating software.
  • Ability to work as part of a team with excellent communication skills.
  • Highly organized with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

You will work in a dynamic environment, collaborating with various teams and using advanced technologies and software. The role requires attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $125000.00/yr.
