Under minimal supervision, the Project Coordinator is responsible for all project entry, coordination, and customer service in the Chimney Department. Responsible for inputting project requests and data, notifying customers of project timelines, and coordinating with the design and drafting teams on both submittal and release projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for answering email inquiries from Chimney Systems Department customers, providing a high level of customer service.
  • Manage all aspects of project coordination from initiation to completion.
  • Process revision requests as needed.
  • Run lead time estimates for all projects.
  • Create and maintain an accurate list of projects.
  • Track times submitted by members of the design team.
  • Track on-time deliveries of submittal/revision drawings.
  • Investigate data discrepancies as needed with reference to project requirements.
  • Provide coordination between customers and designers in reference to the status of their drawing.
  • Provide back-up support for the detailing team on fabrication details.
  • Provide assistance in drafting and revising projects under the supervision of the designer/drafter.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to operate related office equipment, such as computers and copiers.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office or related software.
  • Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to anticipate work needs and interact professionally with customers and employees.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Beginner to intermediate knowledge of Autodesk Inventor/AutoCAD software suite.

Education, Experience, Certifications:

Education:

High School Diploma or GED required.

Experience:

2 to 3 years administrative and/or customer service experience required.

Other Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must have the ability to communicate information in speaking and writing so others will understand.
  • Must be able to see details at close range.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to routinely move throughout the office area to assist customers and coworkers.
