Required
Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a bachelor's degree in the appropriate engineering field.
One (1) year of experience in mechanical engineering.
Advanced degree(s) beyond the minimum degree requirement in a relevant field may be considered for some experience.
Knowledge of theory, practices, materials, and equipment of the engineering field to which assigned.
Knowledge of engineering design, maintenance, and inspection techniques.
Skill in writing reports, specifications, and contract documents.
Ability to perform engineering tasks within the field of specialization.
Ability to formulate life-cycle projections.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Preferred
Experience in designing HVAC systems for commercial buildings
Familiarity with CAD and building modeling tools, as well as HVAC load calculation software
Basic understanding of mechanical and plumbing codes, including ASHRAE standards
