Drywall Finisher**
**Job Description**
As a Drywall Finisher, you will be responsible for preparing and finishing drywall surfaces to meet high standards of smoothness and durability. You will work closely with other trades and team members on active job sites that are not climate controlled, so adaptability and a strong work ethic are essential.
**Responsibilities**
+ Prepare and finish drywall surfaces.
+ Work closely with other trades and team members.
+ Master taping, mudding, sanding, and feathering seams to create smooth surfaces ready for paint or texture.
+ Measure, cut, and install drywall panels with precision.
+ Apply various textures (knockdown, orange peel, etc.) to meet project specifications.
+ Repair damaged drywall and apply skim coats or plaster for seamless finishes.
+ Install metal or vinyl corner beads and apply compound for clean edges.
**Essential Skills**
+ Mastery of taping, mudding, sanding, and feathering seams.
+ Ability to measure, cut, and install drywall panels with precision.
+ Experience in applying various textures.
+ Experience repairing damaged drywall and applying skim coats or plaster.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ 2+ years' experience in commercial drywall.
+ Skilled in carpentry, concrete, and framing.
+ Proficiency with hand and power tools.

You will work on small to mid-sized commercial projects with teams ranging from 3 to 10 employees. The current self-perform team consists of 27 employees, with plans to ramp up in 2025. Work sites are not climate controlled, so adaptability is crucial. The schedule is Monday to Friday from 7 am to 3:30 pm, with contractors working approximately 42-43 hours per week.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lenexa, Kansas.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $35.00/hr.
