Surveyor Jobs in Oklahoma

Establish official/legal property lines. Surveyors make extremely exact measurements to establish land and water boundaries by measuring distances and angles. They determine the exact span and position of land for construction projects or real estate development. They record their results in maps and written reports for legal documentation, and present these to clients and government agencies. In the event of a property dispute, they may be asked to provide expert testimony in court.

Surveyors use a range of tools to take their measurements. They frequently use Global Positioning Systems (GPS) and Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and so must be proficient at reading and understanding these results. They may also research previously recorded data— such as old land records, survey records, and land titles— to help identify land boundaries and ownership.
