The Assistant Construction Superintendent’s primary responsibility is to support the Project Manager and Superintendent/QC/Safety team in the successful completion of assigned projects.

The location is in Layton, Utah which would require residency in Utah.

Their responsibilities include:

Participates in overseeing job site safety and compliance, quality, and project scheduling for assigned projects from pre-construction to closeout.
Work collaboratively with Project Manager, project team members, and field in a professional manner.
Establish and maintain positive and effective relationships and communication with clients, Construction Manager, project team, consultants/architect/engineers, subcontractors, and governmental agencies.
Knowledge of software, word and excel is also useful in this job.
Maintain, file and update project records including RFI’s, ASI’s and as-builts.
May run errands to pick up supplies/materials for the office and/or jobsite.
May coordinate and take Minutes of the Meeting with Government.
Assist with jobsite cleanup when needed. Cleanup is also recommended prior to final walk (before closing out the project) with Government.
Perform other duties as assigned or needed by the Project Manager.

This position reports to the Project Manager.

Reach with hands and arms. • Use hands and fingers to operate tools. Lift and/or move up to 50lbs.
Experience on a construction job site.
Knowledge of health and safety laws.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multitask.
Keen attention to detail.
