Position: MaintenanceEngineer

FLSA Class: Hourly Non-Exempt

Reports to: General Manager

Job Summary:

The maintenance engineer is responsible for providing anattractive, clean, safe and well-maintained property, using a systematicapproach that maximizes guest satisfaction and properly controls labor andmaterials utilized.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Maintainand repair the interior and exterior of the building, guest rooms, meetingrooms, laundry, lighting, HVAC, ventilation, water treatment systems, andswimming pool.

Inspectall operating systems and components of the hotel to ensure they are operatingproperly, efficiently and safely.

Communicateand enforce all hotel policies and procedures.

Informmanagement of hazardous situations, emergencies or security threats.

Maintaina clean and organized maintenance shop and for the security of hotel inventory.

Assistall guests in a sincere and courteous manner while going the extra mile anddoing whatever it takes to ensure guest satisfaction.

Understandand respond to customer needs and ensure a high level of guest satisfaction.

Performpreventative maintenance on all mechanical/electrical equipment, HVAC units,refrigeration, plumbing systems, and guest rooms while maintaining accuraterecords of all work performed.

Ensure everyonein the department is trained and uses Quore on a daily basis.

Maintainthe cleanliness of hotel grounds.

Assistwith hotel security to minimize risk of theft, crime, and other hazards.

Followand adhere to all standards and regulations set forth by designated hotel andas directed by management.

Be aBrand Ambassador of A&Rs Culture, Mission and Values.

Required Skills and Experience:

Previoushospitality industry experience preferred but not required

Ableto accept directions and priorities from members of management and reliablyfollow through on tasks.

Proficient inQuore.

Highlyenergetic and motivated individual

Abilityto lift up to 50 pounds.

Abilityto work with machinery both indoors and outdoors.

Abilityto work independently with little supervision.

Excellentinterpersonal and communication skills with strong customer/client focusessential

Strongproblem-solving skills

Abilityto work in a fast-paced, high pressure environment

Abilityto shift and manage multiple priorities while adapting easily to change

Resultsdriven focus and ability to work through to completion in a timely manner

Highlevel of flexibility regarding overtime during busy periods as required by thebusiness
