Position Summary:
Assumes responsibility for the construction, painting, maintenance, repairs and installation of scenery in performance venues in an effort to meet The Hartt Schools production requirements. Performs all duties in support of the Universitys mission, understanding that the positive and effective execution of these duties are instrumental to the education of the Universitys students.

Hiring Range:
10-month position; $18.60 to $20.00/hour based on experience

Key Responsibilities Key Responsibilities:
  • Assumes responsibility for the installation of all scenery in performance venues as well as the striking of scenery post production. Maintains accurate records of materials and labor used to complete all projects.
  • Constructs and repairs structural woodwork as required from blue prints, drawings and/or verbal or written instructions. Performs general carpentry and metal work in an effort to adhere to designers elevations. Ensures the care and maintenance of woodworking machinery and tools.
  • Maintains and observes all safety policies and procedures to ensure safe work conditions and reduce safety hazards at all times. Practices energy conservation.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
