WSP is currently initiating a search for On-Call Master Electricians to work out of any WSP office, including Jacksonville, FL; Tallahassee, FL; Orlando, FL; Tampa, FL; Miami, FL; Raleigh, NC; Columbia, SC; Dallas, TX; or Houston, TX. We are seeking individuals who are eager to assist during disasters on an on-call basis as a reservist employee, with the availability to deploy with little or no advance notice and for potentially long durations. This is not a full-time position.

Your Impact
- Manage and lead Electrical teams, providing services to clients preparing for, responding to, and recovering from disasters nationwide and in US territories.
- Lead and perform oversight of on-site duties including PII's logistics, supply, cost/documentation and/or resource unit functions.
- Attend periodic training throughout the year to maintain deployment eligibility.
- Support Emergency Management Project Management functions.
- Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
- Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
Who You Are
Required Qualifications
- HS diploma or GED.
- 9+ years relevant experience, including 2+ years of experience in the electrical installation, mechanical, installation, repair and maintenance of emergency standby generators.
- Knowledge of standards, procedures, methods, and techniques, applicable to emergency power and construction projects including equipment, materials, and utility/ medium voltage systems.
- Must possess Master Journeyman Electrical License/Certification, DOD AT1, First Aid/CPR/AED OSHA 10
- Requires General Industry, or Construction Industry Safety with previous emergency response experience during disaster events involving emergency power and O&M services as a QA or Electrician.
- Knowledge of inspection, test, and measurement techniques related to emergency power projects.
- Must be able to inspect electrical installations and identify potential hazards or problems and have a deep understanding of electrical safety including arc flash protection, and oversight to enforce proper installation techniques with an emphasis on utility separation, deinstallation, safety, grounding and bonding.
- Ability to provide training in electrical topics related to the mission.
- FEMA Emergency Management Institute Independent Study - Professional Development Series certification (IS-100/102/200/700/800/815).
- This position requires the ability to travel and deploy to disaster area, with little or no advance notice and potentially for long durations, which could be up to a minimum of 30 days.
- Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP's health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
Preferred Qualifications
- NFPA 70e Training Certification, or equivalent.
Compensation and Benefits:
Expected Hourly Rate Regardless of Location: $30.00-$40.00/hour.
