As a Concrete Finisher and Installer, you will be expected to contribute on job sites in Northern California and Southern California, Southwest US, and Pacific Northwest US. This is a travel based position for which nearly all work will occur on the road.
Job durations will range from 1-3 weeks and will be undertaken by a cross functional team of 4-6 members handling all trades required to get the work done, together. The crew will remain consistent throughout the job and also from job to job, allowing for team cohesion and improvement as a group.
This team will be expected to push the limits of construction technology and techniques, and as such will have direct feedback contact with design engineers, project managers, and business developers related to the program. A well-qualified applicant will have experience in many aspects of civil and underground utility installation.
The role will be asked to work alongside and participate in various trades as well as train new employees and educate other members of the organization about the complexities of construction implementation. In-between concrete projects the candidate will be trained to support Powerpack and solar panel installation.
Obsessive attention to detail and commitment to craftsmanship in concrete formwork, site layout, and concrete finish
Strong working knowledge of job site safety with ability to thoroughly evaluate job hazards and complete pre-work task planning with an emphasis on identifying hazards
Must have strong interpersonal skills, along with the ability to interact with all levels of management; must have high degree of initiative, and the ability to work alone and effectively with other people
Extensive knowledge in using hand and power tools
The ability to think outside the box and find innovative solutions
Personal hand tools, tool belts and other small personal tools (power tools are company provided)
Experience operating excavator, bobcat, scissor lifts, boom lifts and forklifts
OSHA-10 preferred
Lift 50 lbs. from ground and pull 50 lbs. of force, maintain a standing position for long periods of time while performing repetitive actions and fully squat, stoop or kneel while wearing a 25 lbs. tool belt
Valid driver's license required
Ability to work in challenging environments (hot sun, cold, wind, tight spaces, etc.), capable of standing for long stretches of time and working at heights (on rooftops, climb ladders and stairs)
Ability to safely handle tools and materials commonly found in construction and solar industries, ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the course of work, including but not limited to peers and customers
