Journeyman Plumber/Boiler Technician

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Heating System diagnosis & repair including yearly maintenance requirements of all BSDC properties
• Plumbing system maintenance including drains & water supply of all BSDC properties
• Installation of heating systems, water or drain systems as necessary

Required (Minimum) Qualifications

• Journeyman Status Plumber
• Boiler Operator
• Drivers License or ability to obtain one

• Commercial Code requirements for Plumbing & HVAC
• Residential Code requirements for Plumbing & HVAC

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Essential and marginal functions may require maintaining physical condition necessary for bending, stooping, sitting, walking or standing for prolonged periods of time; most of time is spent sitting in a comfortable position with frequent opportunity to move about.

Job is performed in mechanical rooms, under buildings and within walls sometimes identifying problems with plumbing or HVAC systems.

DOT COVERED/SAFETY-SENSITIVE ROLE REQUIREMENTS

• This position is not subject to federal requirements regarding Department of Transportation "safety-sensitive" functions.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

• No supervisory responsibilities.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS

As a condition of employment, may be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check results. Must have reliable transportation to/from work a necessity.
