Estimator and Detailer

Are you detail-oriented, analytical, and eager to work in a dynamic environment? Staffmark is hiring for an Estimator and Detailer position for a thriving company in Abilene, TX! This role is perfect for someone with strong math skills, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for project management.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Flexibility for overtime as needed)

Pay: $20/hr.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive and process estimate/bid requests via email
• Communicate with contractors from start to finish
• Follow up on outstanding bids and track success rates
• Verify awarded project files for accuracy
• Ensure all scheduled materials meet project plans/specifications
• Confirm pricing and request updated quotes when needed
• Prepare and submit material submittals for approval

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in project management, estimating, or a related field.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interpret documents and write reports.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Comsense is a plus.
• Solid mathematical ability, including calculations for proportions, percentages, and geometry.
• Ability to problem-solve and adapt to standardized procedures.
• Background in warehouse or construction is helpful but not required.
• Valid driver's license and ability to be insured on company policy.
