Electrician Trainer

TITLE : Electrician Trainer \n

DEPARTMENT: Meskwaki Nation Apprenticeship Program \n

CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt \n

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES : \n

\n

• Follow established rules and regulations; maintain a safe, clean working environment. \n
• Daily supervision & mentorship of Meskwaki Apprenticeship Program participants in the residential\/commercial\/industrial electrical trade. \n
• Organize, file and maintain daily records \n
• Assist in the coordination of service call & mechanical construction projects \n
• Assist in the planning & coordination of on the job and learning lab activities \n
• Assist in the assessment\/evaluation of Meskwaki Apprenticeship Program participants \n
• Assist in the development & execution of on the job learning in accordance to the Meskwaki Apprenticeship Program curriculum \n
• Complete commercial\/residential electrical projects in a timely manner as assigned \n
• Assist in the creation of project plans; materials, quotes, budgets, timelines \n
• Effectively integrate technology and sustainable building practices into the apprenticeship learning environment \n
• Insure adherence to US Department of Labor Apprenticeship Standards \n
• Participate in After Hours On-Call schedule as assigned \n
• Perform other duties as assigned \n \n

REQUIREMENTS: \n

\n

• Minimum of 5 years\/10,000 hours on the job experience in Electrical. \n
• A minimum of a Journeyperson's license in electricity. \n
• Masters license in electricity preferred. \n
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail \n
• Minimum 3 years' experience of jobsite management. \n
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in teambuilding and teamwork \n
• Strong organizational and customer relations skills \n
• Ability to provide supervision and mentorship for apprenticeship participants. \n
• Hold a current or be willing to obtain CPR\/First Aid certification. \n
• Basic to intermediate knowledge and proficiency with office and contractor computer programs. \n
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. \n
• Must possess a valid driver's license and be insurable \n
• Must be able to pass a background check \n \n
