Grade Foreman (South Bend & Mishawaka, IN)

United Trades of America is seeking an experienced Grade Foreman to manage grading projects in South Bend & Mishawaka, IN . This role involves overseeing a grading crew, ensuring quality control, and coordinating project schedules.

• Supervise grading crew activities to meet project specifications and company standards
• Coordinate schedules for personnel, equipment, and materials
• Maintain inventory records and ensure proper installation of pipes and culverts
• Consult with engineering staff on project requirements
• Monitor production, costs, and resource utilization
• Prepare and report time and material usage
• Ensure safety protocols and orientations are implemented
• Identify and report requests for additional work

• Experience operating heavy equipment
• Knowledge of excavation, grading, and surveying
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications
• Comfortable working in extreme weather conditions and around heavy machinery
• Strong leadership, communication, and teamwork skills
• Experience with Global Positioning System (GPS) technology

• Assist in preparing daily reports
• Operate equipment such as motor graders, asphalt distributors, or snowplows as needed

Pay is based on experience.
