Welder

Start your new career as a Welder with MAU at Boysen in Gaffney, SC. As a Welder, you will perform precision welding using MIG or TIG techniques on stainless steel exhaust systems, correcting machine imperfections by repairing missed welds, burn-throughs, and cold welds while ensuring high-quality standards and maintaining a safe, organized workspace. This temp-to-hire opportunity offers the potential for direct employment with the client after completing 200 hours of work.

What We Offer:

• Starting pay of $19.67-$21.67 per hour depending on shift
• First shift | 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM

What We Are Looking For:

• High School diploma or GED required
• 6 months to 1 year of welding experience (TIG/MIG)
• Recent welding graduates may apply if they can pass the welding test during the interview process
• Must pass a welding test as part of the interview process
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled environment, with extreme heat in the summer and cold temperatures in the winter

What You'll Do As A Welder:

• Perform precision welding to correct imperfections left by machines on exhaust systems
• Utilize MIG or TIG welding techniques to work with stainless steel materials
• Conduct minor rework, including repairing missed welds, burn-throughs, and cold welds
• Ensure high-quality welds that meet production and safety standards
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace while following all safety guidelines
