Arconic is currently in search of Electricians to join our Rolled Products North America (RPNA), business unit in Alcoa, TN. Arconics Tennessee Operations, is one of the most modern aluminum fabricating facilities in the world. Our plants produce high-quality molten metal and aluminum sheet and are recognized as a world leader in the business. RESPONSIBILITIESThe Electrician will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain heavy industrial machinery and equipment with a working knowledge of AC/DC motors and controls, Programmable Logic, combustion, metering, air conditioning, power distribution (low and high voltage), conduit and schematics. Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Read electrical schematics to troubleshoot equipment.
- Create job kits for maintenance jobs including repairs, new equipment installation, and preventative maintenance.
- Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment.
- Ability to work at heights
- Adhere to all safety procedures and state and federal regulations.
- Operate a variety of hand and power tools, measuring devices, and test equipment.

Basic Qualifications
- High school graduate or GED
- 1+ year of electrical maintenance experience with a variety of areas, including AC/DC motors, electrical controls, programmable controllers, and 480v power distribution or
- Completion of a Department of Labor approved apprenticeship or
- Certificate from a post-secondary industrial maintenance or industrial electricity program
- Proficiency with basic computer applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel
- Successful candidate must pass Arconic Electrical Entrance Testing

Preferred Qualifications- 3+ years electrical maintenance experience.
- Completion of an approved apprentice program or technical training.
- Associate or bachelors degree in an applicable field.
- Knowledge of National Electric code.
- Experience with PLCs, combustion.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and applications.
- Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
