Job Summary
The electrician II role is responsible for light and heavy-duty maintenance tasks in assigned areas throughout campus.

Job Responsibilities and Execution
- Maintains buildings and facilities
- Performs maintenance as directed
- Troubleshoots and repairs HVAC, plumbing, electrical and any other work as directed
- Keeps maintenance areas clean and organized
- Prioritizes workload to ensure efficiency
- Supervises and performs electrical repairs as directed
- Uses work order system to log time and work performed
- Adheres strictly to safety standards and practices
- Utilizes all available skills to find, troubleshoot and repair issues that would otherwise be detrimental to university-owned property
- Maintains all tools and equipment
- Initiates work as needed
- Maintains work uniform appearance
- Participates in continuing education courses and/or code compliance seminars

Required Qualifications An equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered. Additional requirements may be designated by position.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Valid drivers license
- Reliable vehicle for on-campus transportation
- Diploma from a recognized trade school specializing in HVAC, plumbing or electrical work or 5 years commensurate experience in maintenance- or construction-related fields
