Overview

Job Summary

Inspect, install, repair, and replace pipe fittings and plumbing fixtures. Maintain water systems and drainage systems for Huntsville Hospital.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

Perform major and minor plumbing repairs. Install/replace sinks, toilets, showers and tubs. Repair any holes in walls, floors, and ceilings that are cut for pipe work. Completion of work orders, PM's and other records in a timely manner. Requisition materials as needed. Respond to fire and other emergencies.

Qualifications

Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Experience required:

Education: HS/GED required. Technical training in health care environment on equipment and utilities preferred.

Experience: Three years experience in plumbing repair and installation required.

Additional Skills/Abilities:

Ability to interpret blueprints and wire diagrams. Ability to use assorted power and hand tools. Knowledge of safety codes. Ability to perform all documentation requirements. Must have a valid driver's license and maintain a safe driving record.
