United Trades of America is seeking a highly skilled Trim Carpenter to join our team in Huntsville, AL . This role is ideal for an experienced carpenter with a keen eye for detail, precision craftsmanship, and leadership potential. The right candidate will have the opportunity to grow into a lead position , overseeing other carpenters and ensuring top-quality work on high-end residential and commercial projects.

As a Trim Carpenter , you will be responsible for installing baseboards, crown molding, wainscoting, door and window casings, cabinetry, and other fine woodwork . You must be proficient with hand and power tools, able to read blueprints, and capable of working with a variety of wood materials. This role requires exceptional attention to detail and the ability to produce clean, polished finishes.

• Precision Woodworking: Install high-end trim, moldings, and custom woodwork with exceptional craftsmanship.
• Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret architectural plans, drawings, and project specifications to ensure accuracy in installation.
• Material Handling: Cut, shape, and assemble wood components using hand and power tools.
• Quality Control: Ensure that all work meets high aesthetic and structural standards .
• Site Preparation & Clean-Up: Maintain a safe and organized workspace while adhering to OSHA safety regulations .
• Team Leadership Potential: Candidates with strong skills and experience will be considered for a lead role , managing job site operations and mentoring junior carpenters.

• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years as a trim carpenter specializing in finish work (not framing).
• Skills:
  • Strong ability to install baseboards, crown molding, door/window casings, built-ins, and cabinetry .
  • Proficiency with miter saws, routers, chisels, and other carpentry tools .
  • Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints and shop drawings .
  • Strong math skills for precise measurements and cuts.
• Work Ethic: Reliable, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently or as part of a team.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 50 lbs , stand for extended periods, and work on ladders when needed.

Hourly pay is $25 - $35 per hour , based on experience.
