Position Summary:
Gettysburg College is seeking a full-time (40 hours per week) HVAC 1st Shift Mechanic to work in the Facilities Services Department . The position performs a variety of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning duties to maintain, adjust, overhaul, and repair the Campus heating, refrigeration and air conditioning equipment.

Status: Full-Time Support Staff

Hourly rate: $23/hr negotiable via experience

Qualifications:
A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with at least 3 years of progressively responsible HVAC and boiler experience. Overtime hours and other shift work may be required such as snow removal duties, inclement weather emergencies, power outages and some ceremonial campus events. EPA certification in refrigerant transition and recovery is recommended. Experience with industrial boilers and chemical treatment is favorable. Must hold a valid drivers license, or the ability to obtain one.
