Atlas is a nationwide leader in civil engineering materials testing and geotechnical consulting services for environmental industrial and infrastructure construction projects Headquartered in Austin TX Atlas currently has over 3500 employees with offices throughout the US including Alaska & Hawaii Its no accident that Atlas creates a better experience for infrastructure and environmental projects Its how we are built with the best people in the industry with the reach and expertise to help at any and every step of the project and with a heart led approach that puts quality and safety at the center of everything we do Were just built to be better We are a great company We are seeking a highly skilled detail oriented and motivated Safety Manager to join our dynamic team in a full time on site role based in Los Angeles CA As the Safety Manager you will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring the safety of all on site activities working closely with contractors the inspection team and project management to maintain a safe working environment across multiple projects Key Responsibilities Safety Oversight & ImplementationCollaborate with contractors the inspection team and project management to ensure effective safety protocols are implemented and strictly adhered to across all project phasesRegulatory Compliance & Safety DocumentationEnsure compliance with contract safety and security requirements ensuring all projects meet industry standards local regulations and best practices for workplace safetyProgram Development & SupportAssist in the development and continuous improvement of the Safety Program providing leadership in safety training risk assessments and accident prevention strategiesIncident Management & ReportingManage and oversee incident reports conducting thorough investigations into accidents or near misses identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrenceSafety Audits & InspectionsConduct regular safety audits and site inspections ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and project specific safety requirementsMinimum Qualifications EducationHigh school diploma or equivalent required;
