HVAC Estimator ($120k-$160k) Description

Our client, a family-owned leader in the HVAC and Plumbing industry, is seeking an experienced HVAC Estimator to join their team in Gaithersburg, MD. As the HVAC Estimator, you will play a critical role in analyzing project requirements, estimating costs for mechanical systems, and collaborating closely with the team to prepare and present proposals. Projects will range in size from $20k to $2.5M. Previous estimating experience in commercial HVAC and/or plumbing systems is a must and familiarity with the vendors and suppliers in the Washington D.C, Maryland, and Northern Virginia market area is a huge plus. This position requires precision, a strong understanding of mechanical systems, and excellent communication skills to ensure accurate and compelling presentations that align with client expectations. HVAC Estimator ($120k-$160k) Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate cost estimates for mechanical systems
• Review project specifications and drawings to understand requirements and scope
• Collaborate with internal teams to gather essential details for proposals
• Develop and present detailed and competitive proposals
• Conduct site visits, as needed, to gather additional project information
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, pricing, and new technologies to enhance estimating accuracy
• Utilize estimating software effectively
• Supervise a small team of Junior Estimators

HVAC Estimator ($120k-$160k) Qualifications

• 6+ years estimating experience in commercial HVAC and/or plumbing systems required
• 4+ years experience utilizing estimating software required
• Ability to work in the office required
