The Labor - Flooring Installer supports restoration efforts by performing duties such as flooring, demolition, cleaning, emergency flood service, restorative drying, fire and smoke damage cleaning and deodorization, pack out and storage and content cleaning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • The Laborer performs the following duties along with any additional duties as assigned by management per business needs.
    • Ability to install flooring such as carpet, tile, LVP and laminate.
    • Clean and prepare job sites.
    • Load and deliver materials using a variety of tools and machines.
    • Maintain clean and organized work areas; including securely storing equipment and supplies while not in use.
    • Proactively communicate job site conditions and concerns that may impact job completion.
    • Perform activities such as light repairs, demolition, and general cleaning as needed.
    • Perform water/flood and contents cleaning duties as assigned.
    • Maintain vehicles in clean and servable condition.
    • Remove and dispose of debris.
    • Set up and take down ladders, scaffolding and other temporary structures.
    • Participate in and demonstrate excellent understanding of safety principles and practices; following all safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • 1-year of experience in construction and / or restoration preferred.
  • Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness.
  • Willingness to be flexible based on business needs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Thorough understanding of the correct and safe operation of all related tools and equipment.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and build relationships.
  • Eligible to operate a motor vehicle per company policy.
  • Ability to work within a team or independently as needed.

  • Exposure to outdoor conditions, including extreme heat, cold, humid conditions and other inclement weather conditions.

  • Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs., as well as stoop, bend, sit, stand and walk.
  • Must be able to perform a labor-intensive role, including bending, walking, pulling, pushing, standing and lifting for 8+ hours; occasionally climb ladders, and work in extreme hot, cold and humid conditions.
  • Must be able to work in and on overhead structures.
  • Participate in occasional overnight travel, weekend and/or evening work.
  • This role may use standard office equipment such as computer, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
  • Must be able to drive up to a 100-mile radius from office to clients’ office and company facilities.
  • Participate in occasional overnight travel, weekend and/or evening work.
